Whistler Ski Rental Rundown: A Guide on Where to Rent Skis

With two mountains, more than 8,100 skiable acres, and 30-plus feet of snow in the winter, Whistler Blackcomb is a destination that should be on every skier’s bucket list. Located just 75 miles north of Vancouver, Whistler boasts 16 alpine bowls, world-class terrain parks, and more than 200 marked trails.

Whistler Blackcomb is very beginner-friendly, with nearly 20% of the resort dedicated to beginners and learn-to-ski areas. About 55% of the resort terrain is ideal for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The best place for beginners to start is at Magic Chair at the base of Blackcomb. From there, they can ride down the Yellow Brick Road. If you’re an advanced skier looking to test your endurance, make your way to the Peak Express chairlift. Ride it to the Peak-to-Creek Trail, and then descend 5,000 feet over seven miles. With a vertical drop like that, there’s plenty of challenging terrain, from powder bowls to the groomers on Dave Murray Downhill to steep glades in lower Blackcomb.
